The La Casa nel Bosco | House in the Woods is a magical accommodation located in the picturesque and typical hilltop village of Convalle, just a few kilometers from the splendid city of Lucca, the Versilia coast, and the Garfagnana, at the foot of the Apuan Alps. It is a beautiful property of about 120 square meters, tastefully and elegantly renovated, preserving the characteristics of typical Tuscan buildings. Meticulously detailed, it offers guests a unique and memorable experience. The house will welcome you with its warmth: wooden beams, terracotta floors, and a kitchen built in the charming rustic Tuscan style.

INTERIORS

Walking through the narrow streets of the historic village of Convalle, you will reach the House in the Woods. Continuing along the alley, you’ll head towards the chestnut woods surrounding the house, but stop here for the moment and enter this splendid dwelling to enjoy your holidays. Access to the house is through a small equipped terrace, from where you enter the welcoming living room with warm tones, chestnut beams, terracotta floor, a sofa, conversation area with a 40-inch flat-screen TV with international channels, a beautiful dining table, minibar, and the lovely bathroom with vibrant colors and a shower. The kitchen is very characteristic and functional: a large table and chairs, refrigerator and freezer, dishwasher, hob/oven, wood-burning oven for making pizzas and homemade bread; guests will appreciate feeling immersed in the culinary dimension of classical Tuscany. From the ground floor, you go up to the first floor (15 steps) where there is a relaxation area with a sofa and a fun foosball table. The sleeping area consists of two beautiful double bedrooms, both with a view of the village; in the first one, in addition to the double bed, there is a bunk bed, wardrobe, bedside tables, and the bathroom with lilac tones and beautiful artistic finishes. You’ll notice the wonderful Tiffany glass door created by the owner Davide. In the second bedroom, there is a double bed, wardrobe, bedside tables, and a chest, and a truly original bathroom, featuring a beautiful tub where you’ll love to bathe. The house is well-equipped with accessories: drying racks, iron and ironing board, hairdryer, kitchen utensils for every occasion, toaster. EXTERIORS

The House in the Woods is located in the charming village of Convalle, a typical Tuscan hamlet consisting of characteristic stone houses, enjoying a panoramic view towards the valley below and the surrounding mountains. The exterior is very characteristic, unfolding on various levels, typical of these areas to have the garden on the plains among the olive trees and fruit trees. Exiting the property, you access the small outdoor terrace (about 18 sqm), closed by a gate and equipped with a table, chairs, and a nice barrel with seats for outdoor aperitifs or snacks. In front of the house, there is another space with a table, chairs, and sun loungers, and the barbecue area equipped for dinners and lunches. At the back of the house, climbing a small path, you reach the area where a small and charming round pool with a wooden patio has been set up. The pool is available seasonally from June to September, 24 hours a day. Occasionally, the owner will need to water the garden, clean the pool, and check the water level, respecting the privacy of the guests. Unlimited WI-FI internet.
